Claiming the Title.

It's that time of year again! Two weeks ago marked the annual Mr. and iss. Howard pageant! Every year wonderful contestants from each school grace the stage with hopes of winning the title of Mr. or Miss. Howard University. And the attendees of the event come out in their best digs to support their classmates!
Looking quite futuristic, this young lady paired together classic items for an edgy look! Her shoes were hot! Many people (myself included) are not able to successfully wear statement pieces to pop their outfits, especially shoes. Her outfit proves to be super cute and unique at the same time!
Finding a balance between being dressed up and being too causal is much harder for males opposed to females. Ike looks extremely polished while not too dressed up. His jacket sets the tone for his outfit as it makes the shirt and tie look less dressy! I appreciate it when a man can pull together a clean look!
Colby is amazing! She's been on the blog before, because she always looks so darn cute! Her embellished tank top complements nicely with her steel toe booties! I love her color pop clutch as the yellow mustard color contrasts with her blue maxi skirt. Great job Colby, Stay Pretty as usual!
Kristin, a former Miss Freshman, looked absolutely cute in her cropped fur vest! She looked really classy with her nude pumps and layered pearl necklaces!
This gentleman looks extremely fancy! His pink shirt complements nicely against his maroon pants that blend well with his pocket square! And of course, he is also representing Howard University with our school pin on his lapel!
Trevor always looks so amazing, no matter the event. His outfit is somewhat of a tracksuit with a twist! the red socks and black and white oxfords definitely pull the outfit together. There's not much more I can say, he looks great!
Miss School of Business, Brittani Treadway, looked amazing during the formal portion of the pageant! Her bright, embellished dress drew me in as she graced the stage. I'm sure this is a 'Sherri Hill' dress based on the way the jewels are laid onto the bodice of the dress, nonetheless, she looked fab!
Miss School of Communications, Tonya Nelson, looked super classy and fashionable throughout the entire show. On the left, she has on a glittery peplum dress. I am absolutely in love with peplum on anything! Her dress is simple, but the shimmer really sets it off! She accessorized nicely with red lips and crystal earrings, very classy! On the right, Tonya is in her formal wear. I absolutely adored her dress! The top was covered in gold sequins while the bottom was of an ocean blue color and cascaded to the floor. I personally like this dress a lot because of the simple glitter through the dress. The bottom of the dress is a solid color, so the added shimmer truly made her shine!
The former Miss and Mr. Howard were in attendance at the pageant as well! They were bidding farewell to the student body as they took their last walk as Miss and Mr. Howard! Miss Howard 2012-2013, Leovina Charles, looked amazing in this gown! The dress was a rich purple with a mermaid fit and descending ruffles at the bottom. To accessorize, she wore beautiful crystals and obviously her crown!
I wore a cute and simple outfit! My white peplum top has little spikes around the color and I was finally able to break in these leopard shoes that have been rotting in my closet!
